This week is Conservation Week

It is Conservation Week and we are learning about how to protect the earth and all it's living things from change and destruction.

There are some great ways to get involved in Conservation Week outside of school.
Check out the Department of Conservation website for more information.

Want a Worm Farm?

Maddie Claudia and Millie have spent the last few weeks learning about worm farms.
They have read and researched all about worms.....the benefits of having a worm farm, and how to make a worm farm. They are now working on putting a proposal together to develop and make our own Grovetown worm farm. We will keep you posted on their progress.

Inesha - This weeks Teacher of Shared Reading on Thursday.

Inesha has been working on reading with expression and changing her voice to entertain the listeners. She was our teacher last Thursday during shared reading time.
We were all doing our best to NOT read like a "robot".

More buddy reading photos

Today we read with our new Term 4 reading buddies.

Samuel was our teacher on Thursday.
He helped us read our big book by pointing to the words.
Samuel was awarded this honour as he had been so focus at shared reading time all week.
We wonder who will get to be the teacher at shared reading time next Thursday.

Welcome to the Osprey

Welcome to the Osprey classroom blog.

Check out our blog over the coming weeks for our learning stories.

With holidays fast approaching remember to keep up the daily reading practise.  Our school reading challenge would be a great way to read and have some fun along the way.
