Inspired by Clarry Neame

Last Friday after visiting Clarry Neame at his studio we came back to school on Friday and explored painting in his style, pointillism/ impressionist.

Measuring Madness

We have been learning to measure accurately using non standard ( hands, feet, blocks) and standard units (Centimeters and Meters).

String Instruments

This week we have been learning about how string instruments work. We have begun to write some very detailed explanations and today we created our own string instrument. It was a big job and a great opportunity to practice persevering when things get tricky. We will bring them home to share next week when they are dry.

This week some of the children have completed their WOW charts

 and have chosen their WOW rewards.

Our Buddy Bench is completed

This term as part of our "Me and my Environment" Inquiry we have designed, planned and built two Buddy Benches. They will be place in the playground for children to sit on when they are feeling sad, lonely or need a friend to talk to or play with. We are proud of what we have created and hope the children of Grovetown now and in the future find our Buddy Benches a useful addition to our playground.
